#1 – Complying with the new Montgomery County Benchmarking Law at no cost!

PMEI’s Building Energy Monitoring Service (BEMS) © gathers energy consumption data using sensors at the building and by interconnecting with the utility service provider(s). Information is collected on energy sources including electric, gas, water, fuel oil, and on environmental factors. Automated transfer of billing information, verification and direct payment is available. Building owners may view and print all products of the service at their workstation using a standard browser and printer.

The Montgomery County Benchmarking Law (effective 2015) requires all non-residential buildings 50,000 sq. ft. and larger to benchmark their energy consumption performance using EPA’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager.

We are currently offering to perform at no cost, verified data entry into Portfolio Manager, and provide to the building owner, the Energy Star Score, Energy Use Intensity, and reports for submission to the County Department of Environmental Protection. PMEI will also provide on-line access to the information captured through BEMS at no cost for a prearranged period of time.
